EVA BALLESTRASSE -
Eva Ballestrasse, Benefit Administrator, joined forces with broker Debbie Upland, in 1997, after a successful HR career in the Semi-Conductor industry. She now has over 11 years in the insurance industry.
She has cultivated solid productive relationships with both clients and insurance companies. Eva is a tireless advocate for our clients. She ensures that every step is taken to resolve claims. Eva is available to handle any question regarding claims, new enrollments, status changes, COBRA/Cal-COBRA, open enrollment and any other possible group benefit concern. She is dedicated to servicing your group’s benefit needs.
Eva, a wife and mother of 2, also finds time for creativity and recreation. She enjoys cake decorating and outdoor activities with her family.

DEBRA FERREIRA -
Debra Ferreira serves as a Benefit Administrator for BPIA. She joined the team in 2004. Debra, before entering the insurance field, was a Food Scientist and R & D Manager for Kerry Ingredients, Inc., a food manufacturer. She earned her BA, in Food Sciences, from UC Davis.
Debra is a group transition specialist. She works with various carriers to obtain coverage and pricing options. Debra supports Employers to ensure their transition to new insurance companies is seamless and efficiently processed. She also handles the term and whole life insurance placement. Debra is able to find solutions and never gives up until she has viable choices for our clients.
Debra, wife and mother of 2 bouncing baby boys, enjoys cooking and entertaining at home.

BARBARA LANIER -
Barbara Lanier, Benefit Account Manager, is the newest BPIA member. A graduate of San Francisco State University, Barbara established herself in the field of sales and marketing with a focus on helping clients infuse their enterprise with innovative methods for increasing profitability. Over the years Barbara developed award winning client relations techniques built on the concept of partnering with clients to deliver creative yet practical personalized solutions.
Barbara researches the market and analyzes the various insurance companies’ plans. She shops and negotiates the most competitive benefit rates available for client presentations. Barbara, as needed, functions as a liaison for Insurance companies’ representatives and BPIA’s Broker and Benefit Agents.
Barbara, a natural born socializer, is quick-witted and audacious. When clients meet Barbara, in person or on the phone, they are sure to be entertained and highly satisfied with her level of service.

KAREN REED-JENNINGS -
Karen Reed-Jennings, Benefits Account Manager, has been with BPIA over 3 years and is a valuable member of our Benefits team. She holds a California Life and Health Insurance license and earned her degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology from San Francisco State University.
Karen provides exceptional service to our small group clients. Karen’s previous experience, as a Benefits Coordinator, is evident when she is able to quickly identify and satisfy client needs. Karen handles day-to-day account management and assists with enrollments, renewals, changes and employee questions. She provides quotes and enrollment services for Individual medical and dental plans. She is also our Medicare Supplement specialist. Karen’s consultative approach ensures that her clients are educated about their options and the best plans.
Karen enjoys physical activity, spending time in nature and preparing her daughter for college.

LISA SALINAS -
Lisa Salinas, Benefits Administrator, joined BPIA in 2004 as a Health Benefit Administrator. Lisa has over 20 years of administrative and client service experience, including Benefit Administration for a high profile law firm. Lisa’s specialized benefit background was a perfect match for BPIA. 
Lisa is committed to providing exceptional client service. She is a liaison for our clients by efficiently handling large and small group management. Lisa specializes in medical, dental and vision
She possesses a positive “can-do” work ethic, a delightful sense of humor and a contagious laugh. Lisa balances her career at BPIA with raising and enjoying her two children.
