BPIA was founded in 1999 by Debbie Upland (CEO) and Virginia Fontana (COO). Both women have over 27 years each of insurance industry background. Individual bios are available for detailed information. We provide and service policies for all types of business insurance needs (business liability, property, auto, workers compensation, Directors and Officers, Non-Profits, professional liability). We also have a Group Employee Benefits Division (providing medical, dental, vision, disability, long term care) and Life Insurance plans. Personal Lines (automobile, homeowner, boat, umbrella and flood) are written through our Personal Lines Division (PLD).
After many years of working for others, Debbie and Virginia decided to become owners of their destiny. They started the business with six employees and today have twenty. The agency is "medium" in size and focuses on the small business owner and non profit organizations. BPIA's continued growth has been from the referrals (compliments) of our existing clients.
BPIA’s marketing efforts have been strengthened by joining and becoming owners in United Valley Insurance Services (UVIS). This is a group of small to medium sized agencies throughout the State of California who joined together to become a marketing force which enables us to have pricing clout with the insurance carriers.
